“The Blues is definitely a spiritual home for me. I will never forget the first time I heard it played on the piano – there was an awakening inside of me that kick started my career as a pianist. I spent hours practicing during my teenage years and it never seemed like grinding work because I loved it so much! I like playing classical just as much now though. In fact, both genres have helped me to discover my own pianistic voice in different ways.”

Tom sits down with blues journalist, Michael Limnios, to answer a range of questions across both the blues and classical spectrums. The interview provides some insightful information about the current state of blues in the UK and beyond, personal information about Tom’s music and experiences as well as exploring the socio-cultural implications of the blues – past and present.
