Tom is a piano teacher based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, running lessons from his home on a weekly basis. He has developed an innovative learning strategy that is enjoyed by all of his students.

• Tom works with all ages and abilities from complete beginners to gigging musicians
• Lessons last for either 30 mins or 1 hour
• He provides high quality tuition in classical, jazz, blues, boogie, funk and pop music
• The lesson plan is completely flexible and tailored to the student. Tom prepares students for examinations or helps them to play purely for pleasure
• Tom holds a BA (Hons) degree
• He is one of the few tutors in the country who is able to teach boogie woogie to an advanced level
• Parents are welcome to sit in and attend
• Tom is CRB checked

Tom currently teaches lead singer, Bjorn Franklin, from highly acclaimed rock band, Atticus Anthem. The band have recently been touring with Scouting For Girls. Here is the band in action at the BBC.

My 7-yr old son, Thomas, has been learning to play the piano with Tom since March 2011.
Tom has managed something we can never do - that is to get him to sit in one place for half an hour at a time! Thomas loves his piano lessons and has picked up some quite complicated pieces already - no messing about with playing one note at a time or one hand at a time! Tom has a great rapport with him and seems to have tuned in to the kind of learner he is - using this to keep him interested and encouraging him to keep on trying if he can't get things right first time. Thomas is due to perform a piece to his entire school this week - not bad after less than 9 months of lessons! - Angela
